my car is at a local shop, getting the engine built. they have pulled the
engine and sent to to a machine shop, thats it. I went up there today to
drop off some money and pick up my invoice. I was looking at the invoice
tonight and they are charging a ridiculous amount for the internals. for
example wiseco 88mm listons for $800, eagle h-beam rods $750, topline
complete gasket set for $300. sad right. I have a friend with a mustang that
is sponsored by another shop here in denver, he can get me amazing deals
on parts, also the labor. I am going to pay them for the work that has been
done and take it to that other shop. what is a reasonable price for what has
been done?($85 labor rate)
